Mercedes vehicles have several driving lights for added safety. These lights are the headlights, taillights, flashers, and parking lights at the front and rear of the vehicle’s important to always keep the lights running, not only for your safety, but not fined by the authorities. Although most current Mercedes-Benz vehicles use the same lamps, consult your owner’s manual to ensure the type of lamp you use your car.

Instructions

  1. Put on clean gloves. Turn the headlight switch in the off position and open the trunk.
  2. Turn the screws securing the tail lamp cover 90 degrees and remove the cover of the tail lamp.
  3. Remove the bulb by turning counterclockwise desired, and pulling it out. There are four spots in the assembly of the tail lamp: the lamp bulb brake lamp bulb back, the light bulb turn signal and parking light bulb.
  4. Install a replacement bulb, making pushing and turning clockwise. Brake lights must use a P 21 W bulb, the signal, in turn, use a bulb PY 21 W, parking lights used P 21/5 W bulb, and finally, backup lamps, use a bulb P 21 W.
  5. Replace the back cover of the tail lamp and tighten the screw. Close the trunk.

Advice

  • Always wear clean gloves or a clean cloth to replace halogen bulbs.
